On 15.09.2014, the system Administrator of Tirupati HO has reported to Sri.G.N.Naidu, Hardware System Administrator that there is a sudden surge in AC power in the morning in Tirupati HO due to which the systems have powered-down in the counters and it was observed that the burning of chokes in florescent lights, fans and UPS was smelt. Immediately, Sri.G.N.Naidu has got into action and found that the “Transformer” provided by the electricity board to Tirupati HO PO building is giving abnormal out-put of 440 volts due to earth and neutral failure. Then, the input AC-power to transformer was isolated, the problem in failure of Earth and Neutral was set-right and the out-put power from transformer was bought to normalcy by 15.00 hrs by Sri.G.N.Naidu. His timely efforts in finding the electrical fault has prevented heavy damage/loss to electrical components of the department. In this context, the timely action taken by Sri G.N.Naidu in saving the departmental property from damage is highly appreciable and the department is very much thankful to him for rendering such timely service.
